Yeah, that's not a typo. If you get the DIY recipe for it, you can make a moon in Animal Crossing New Horizons and add a really nice touch to your surroundings. To create a moon in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you're going to need the following items:
- 15 Star Fragments
- 1 Large Star Fragment
The only way that you can get those star fragments is to wish on falling stars, and you do that by pressing the up key and A on your Switch when you see a falling star kick in overhead at night. Getting a Large Star Fragment is a matter of luck unlike regular star fragments, so you might need a few nights to get all the ingredients to craft your moon.

About the author
Ginny hails from just south of Mordor, and when she's not debating others about the One Ring then she's probably glued to an MMO or a JRPG. With Final Fantasy XIV, Destiny 2, and World of Warcraft on her plate, she's always got something to chat about and a sneaky guide up her sleeve. If writing's not on the cards, then she's probably drinking way too much coffee.
After forging your island life in Animal Crossing: New Horizons for some time, you'll eventually realize that your wardrobe could use some sprucing up, perhaps of the Star Warsvariety. Sure, you could design your own unique looks, matching the top Jedi and Bounty Hunters in the galaxy, but you could simply scroll through our curated findings to become the next Prince or Princess of Naboo.
If you want to obtain a costume listed here, all you need is a cell phone with the Nintendo Switch Online app. There’s a bit of special set-up process involved, but thankfully we have a whole guide focused on how to use QR codes and the Able Sisters tailor shop in New Horizons. Once you have all of that set up, proceed through the following options to build your own Star Wars outfits.
If you affiliate yourself with the Force's lighter sides, you might want an outfit mimicking the garb worn by Star Wars' protagonist groups like the Rebels and Jedi. Although we've found some iconic heroic looks like Anakin and Leia's attire, we've also collected more generic garb, leaving room for you to introduce your own Jedi or Rebel OC to the wondrous world of New Horizons.
